After graduating in Journalism and Psychology she started working as journalist and interior stylist for the pioneer interior design and house décor magazine Nuevo Estilo, as it was first launched in Spain.
From Nuevo Estilo she moved onwards to Telva magazine where for thirteen years she was director of the interior design section.
Later on she ran her own business of interior design for residential properties, offices and commercial spaces.
She worked for the firm Pepe Peñalver, creating the company´s public image, the shops, the commercial stands, and the designs of the fabrics, which were soon exhibited in the most prestigious international fairs of fabrics and textile manufacturers worldwide, including La Biennale di Venezia, Grand Palais de Paris, Frankfurt´s Heimtextil and London´s Decorex.
Later on she joined the firm Lienzo de los Gazules designing its fabrics, furniture, accessories and the public image for the franchise.
Her fabrics have been exported to every corner of the globe and her designs were selected by the Mulhouse museum to represent Spain.
She has been the recipient of various prestigious prizes during her professional career including the Casa Decor Award and the Design Prize awarded by the Valencia Fabrics and Textiles Trade Fair.
In 1993, she created her own firm Iciar de la Concha, which she sold seven years later to Gaston y Daniela, remaining the artistic director of the franchises until 2003.
Following a period of introspection and self exploration, she has taken painting courses and workshops – which included charcoal, pastel, watercolor and oil painting - engraving, lithography, modeling and sculpting.
Currently she is fully dedicated to her artistic passion: painting.
